Rich and his wife Paula have lived in Rush for 36 years.  They have two grown children, one of whom makes his home in Rush.  Rich retired from Eastman Kodak with 25 years of supervisory experience.  He also has 5 years of college administration experience with RIT as well as 3 years of plant management experience with Howes Leather Company of Curwensville, PA.  Rich is also retired from the United States Army Reserve and is a member of the Stevens-Connor American Legion Post.  He earned his AAS degree from Niagara County Community College and his BS degree from the State University of New York at Brockport.  Rich is a past committee chairman of Boy Scout Troop 134, has served 5 years on the Rush Planning Board and was appointed to the Rush Town Board in January 2007.  Rich can be reached at 533-2187 or email at Rich@townofrush.com.

Al Simon, Councilman
Al and his wife Sharon have lived in Rush for 23 years.  They have 2 grown children and 6 granddaughters.  Al retired from Harris Corp RF Communications after 44 years as VP of Operations.  He earned his AAS degree from Alfred State Tech. and his BSEE from the Rochester Institute of Technology.  He was appointed to the Rush Town Board in March 2011.  In addition, Al’s community involvement includes serving on the Rush Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Assessment Review. He was a member of the Rush Facilities Committee and the Budget Advisory Committee, as well as, an Assistant Scout Master and is currently an Assistant Girls Soccer Coach.  Al can be reached at 533-1989 or email at Al@townofrush.com.

Kathryn Steiner for Councilwoman
Kathy moved to Rush with her husband, John, and children in 1997.  They have 4 children.  Kathryn graduated with a BS in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984.  She was a stay-at-home mom, selling Tupperware on the side. In 1994 she returned to school to get her MA Psychology in 1996 from Towson  State University in Baltimore, MD.   In 2003, she took a part-time job at St. Joseph’s Church in Rush.  At work she has subsequently earned the respect of co-workers and administrators. In 2010, she accepted a full-time position as Administrative Assistant for the newly formed cluster of St. Joseph’s, Church of the Good Shepherd and Guardian Angels Churches, now known as the Rush Henrietta Catholic Community.  Kathy has been an active volunteer in the community, as an assistant Girl Scout leader, religious education teacher, school committee member, Vacation Bible School volunteer and director.  Kathryn can be reached at Ksteiner@rochester.rr.com.

Pamela Bucci, Town Clerk
Pam lives in Rush with her husband Jim and their 2 children.  Pam is a graduate of both the State University of New York at Alfred and St.John Fisher College. She is the Coordinator and Administrator of the Rush Beautification Committee, County in Bloom flowerbed at Route 15 and is a volunteer member of the Rush Fall Festival Committee.  She is currently serving as the Secretary to the Monroe County Town Clerks and Tax Collector/Receivers Association and is a member of the NYS Town Clerks Association as well as the NYS Tax Collector and Receivers Association.   Pam can be reached at 533-1312 or by email at Pam@townofrush.com. 


Mark David, Highway Superintendent
Mark has 27 years experience working with the Highway Department including5 years as Deputy Superintendent and General Foreman.  He was appointed as Highway Superintendent in October 2010.  Mark has been an active member of the Monroe County Highway Superintendents Association as well as 4 years credited training with New York State.  Mark lives with his wife Debbie and two daughters Holly and Erica on the family farm.  His daughters are now the 5thgeneration to reside in Rush.  Mark attended both SUNY @ Morrisville and Monroe Community College.  Mark can be reached at prushhighwayde@rochester.rr.com.


Thomas Doupe, Town Justice
Tom was appointed in March of 2011 to fill the Town Justice position previously held by Judge Paula Anderson. Prior to this appointment, he served as a councilman on the Rush Town Board for nearly 8 years.  In that capacity, he was liaison to the Library Board of Trustees, the Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Fire Commissioners.  He is the Senior Director of Development Programs at the University of Rochester.  He received a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from SUNY Oswego and holds an MA in Organizational Leadership from Medaille College.  He is also an Air Force veteran and is a member of the Stevens-Connor American Legion Post.  Tom can be reached at Tom@townofrush.com
